You are our guest, and it is our vow to visit a whimsical and relaxing experience upon you.
In turn, we expect you to show the Den the decorum it deserves.

  • Leave your arms, minions, carbuncles, egis, or similar such constructs at the door. The Host makes exceptions for those engaging in Mudpie experimentations.

  • Respect the Personal Space, the Consent, and the Narrative of the Host and your fellow Patrons, In-Character or Otherwise.

  • The Host reserves the rights to /yell, /shout, and the /lookingtomeld privileges.

  • Extroverted Reflections of Personality are NOT tolerated as public topics of conversation. Should you get carried away with your fantasies, the Host makes concessions for creative wordplay and innuendo.

  • If one's expressions of /emotion are gratuitous, the Host encourages turning the logging of such expressions off.

  • Should one have any curiosities, enquiries, clarifications, suggestions, or ideas for collaboration, the Host's /tell is always open.

Aetheraine: A Roleplay Tool

Aether is like food; it exudes a scent and it evokes a flavor.In heightened states of emotion or experience, one's Aether emanates around them, and those with properly attuned perceptions can sense it - "taste" it, if you will.The "taste" of Aether differs from individual to individual, and it changes much like their own physiology - shaped by their experiences and memories of existence.Attunement to perceive the taste of Aether is a skill not easily learned. However, by infusing a sliver of one's Aether to a special liquid and sand - Aetheraine - the experience can be attained for a short moment.Have Aetheraine distilled for a small price before you leave and you can even enjoy it in the comforts of your own space.

What Does your Aether taste like?

In visiting the Aetheraine Den and consenting to offer your character's Aether for your companions to experience, consider the following narrative guide questions:❖ What color does the liquid and powdered Aetheraine take once it is imbibed with your Aether?❖ Once the Aetheraine is dissolved into the ambiance, what sensory / metaphorical experience will it provide to those who will perceive it?Sensory experiences are those perceived by mortal senses: Sight, Scent, Sound, Taste, and Touch.Metaphorical experiences are those perceived by mortal emotions and thoughts: Imaginations, (Generic) Memories, Evoked Vibes, Sensations, Feelings, Thoughts, among others.---An ExampleThe Host's Aetheraine fluid takes on a vivid red hue, marbled with rosy pink swirls and flecks of glittering gold. The Aetheraine sand is similarly comprised of red, pink, and gold granules.The Host's Aetheraine exudes the fragrant scent of freshly-bloomed roses, the gentle caress of its petals upon one's skin, the taste of morning dew gliding down its deep red skin.It paints a memory of playing amid a meadow laden with various colors of roses, petals swirling along with the wind. One feels a whimsical urge to be a child once again and indulge in the magic of innocence.---Please avoid narrative descriptions of your Aether's taste that touch upon topics of Trauma, Depression, Negativity, or similar themes. Narratively, negative thoughts and feelings evoke foul-tasting Aether.Similarly, the act of imbibing Aetheraine with your Aether is NOT done against your will. It is your Aether, and you have agency whether to share it for others to experience or not. Consequently, the act of perceiving Aetheraine is also NOT forced upon you. If you do not wish to partake of an individual's Aether, you may move away from their congregation to not perceive it.In addition, the experiences provided by Aetheraine are in no way addictive or hallucinogenic, nor is indulging in the act considered as feeding off another's Aether. Narratively, there is no bodily nor aetherial hazard in experiencing one's Aether; it would be similar to just smelling one's worn perfume.Please do not make narrative presumptions otherwise.

An Intimate Aetheraine Experience

Mayhap you are interested to indulge in the Aetheraine experience privately, or your circle of acquaintances wish to retreat into the Den's relaxing atmosphere for but a whimsical moment.We can make that happen.---☘ ☘ ☘ Our Rates ☘ ☘ ☘❖ (500,000 gil / pax) A four-hour roleplay of the Aetheraine experience, with casual conversations and narrative-building around the taste of the attendees' Aether. The Host shall personally oversee the experience for all participants, as well as help facilitate the roleplay. This is recommended for a group of 3 or more individuals.❖ (300,000 gil / hour) Reserve the Aetheraine Den for your private functions and events, or to stage private roleplay experiences. The Host may participate in the roleplay as requested. This is recommended for groups looking for a subdued space to hold roleplay events or gatherings in.For specific adjustments to the headcount or the time, send a /tell to the Host during Den opening hours or when the Host is ingame and online.

Important things to note

  • Make the necessary reservations of your event / gathering's details to the Host at least a week before your intended date. If you have any specific requests, do not hesitate to inform the Host ahead of time so that arrangements can be checked and made. Likewise, cancellations should be informed at least three days before the appointed schedule so that appropriate steps can be taken for rescheduling or postponing the event.

  • It is recommended to read through the lore elements of Aetheraine in the other sections of this site to get a good OOC understanding of how the experience flows. Afterwards, think about how your own OC's Aether would be experienced by other patrons or your fellow attendees.

  • It is expected that approximately 10-15 minutes of roleplay exchange is needed for each participant of the Aetheraine experience. There may be a length of time between participants as the patrons indulge in roleplaying and cultivating narrative around the current participant's Aether. Consider this element of time when planning your bookings and the number of participants you plan to involve.

  • Roleplay formats are not strictly observed, but it is recommended to make the necessary distinctions between In-Character (IC) and Out-of-Character (OOC) narratives. The Host is open to adjusting to the booking party's roleplay style and narrative.

  • Respect the agency and narrative of each participant and avoid making presumptions of the taste of their Aether; allow them the space to explore and narrate how others will experience their Aether, or help them build upon their ideas should they seek for it.

  • Not all participants are required to partake of the Aetheraine experience. Attendees may freely participate as just patrons indulging in the taste of their companions' Aether, or they may just be there tagging along and relaxing / enjoying the Den's space. It is recommended to engage and partake of the experience, however, to get the most value out of your time and gil.

  • Throughout the duration of the booking, the Host is open to entertaining OOC consultations on patron OCs on cultivating and building upon the experience of their Aether's taste.
